Native to part of Africa and Asia, Moringa is the sole genus in the flowering plant family Moringaceae. The fresh or dried leaves of the Moringa tree can be added to salads and are also used in the preparation of sauces, salsas, and soups. The leaves are the most nutritious part of the plant, being a significant source of B vitamins, vitamin C, provitamin A as beta-carotene, and vitamin K.
