Lemons entered Europe near southern Italy no later than the second century AD, during the time of Ancient Rome. Lemon Thyme may be added to poultry, seafood, vegetable, marinades, stews, soups, sauces and stuffing while fresh sprigs of this herb make a lovely garnish. Its leaves are excellent sources of potassium, calcium, iron, manganese, magnesium, and selenium.
